Skybound Entertainment’s virtual reality horror series DELUSION: LIES WITHIN will debut on Samsung VR Video starting November 2, 2018. Jon Braver wrote and directed the series, which premiered earlier this year at Overlook Film Festival. It also screened at DTLA Film Festival, as part of an interactive experience in collaboration with Samsung Electronics America.
Luca Guagadnino's remake of the 1977 Dario Argento cult classic Suspiria just set a 2018 box office record for best opening per theater before it goes wide this coming weekend. The update, which stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Mia Goth and Chloë Moretz, is set at a prestigious dance academy, and, as in the original, involves grisly murders and the supernatural. A71 Entertainment acquired the home video rights to genre festival favourite punk rock slasher THE RANGER following the film’s Toronto premier at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. The deal was negotiated by Susan Curran A71 and 79th & Broadway Entertainment’s Andrew van den Houten, on behalf of the production companies Hood River Entertainment and Glass Eye Pix. Bluray and DVD to be released early January 2019.
Universal City, California, October 23, 2018 – Universal Studios Hollywood hosts its first-ever kid-friendly Halloween celebration, inviting all children 12 years of age and under to don creative costumes to Trick-or-Treat at the theme park along with some of their favorite characters on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 from 10am to 4pm.
For the first time, Universal Studios Hollywood offers guests a “lights on” walk-through experience of the all-new “Stranger Things” maze during the day, providing an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at how the Upside Down comes to life at “Halloween Horror Nights” from Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 2. The self-guided tour of the movie-quality sets featured in the “Stranger Things” maze is included in the price of daytime admission to the theme park.
STXfilms, a division of STX Entertainment, and Lakeshore Entertainment have today announced their latest joint venture, THE BOY 2, a follow up to the successful horror-thriller feature The Boy (2016), which starred Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans. Katie Holmes (Batman Begins, Phone Booth, Ray Donovan) will headline the cast in the role of ‘Liza’. William Brent Bell (The Boy, The Devil Inside) will return to direct the sequel.
