[News] Drama Series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY Debuts This August

HBO has revealed the release time and the official teaser trailer for their upcoming book adaptation drama series, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

The series follows Atticus Freeman as he joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across the 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

The series stars Jonathan Majors (Captive State, White Boy Rick), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Birds of Prey, “Underground”), Courtney B. Vance (“American Crime Story”, Uncorked), and Michael Kenneth Williams (When They See Us, “The Wire”).

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY is executive produced by Misha Green, who also serves as showrunner. J.J. Abrams, Jordan Peele, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim, and David Knoller also serve as executive producers. Yann Demange directs episode one of the series. Daniel Sackham directs episodes two and three of the series.

HBO’s new drama series, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, based on the 2016 novel by Matt Ruff of the same name, debuts this August.
