It was announced yesterday that Paris Jackson (Gringo, “Star”) has joined HABIT. Jackson plays Jesus in the production. The project comes from Donovan Leitch, 852 Films, Martingale Pictures, Voltage Pictures, Cloudlight and Elevated Films.
In HABIT, a street smart, party girl with a Jesus fetish gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out; by masquerading as a Nun.
The film also stars Bella Thorne (I Still See You, Ride), Gavin Rossdale (The Bling Ring, “Criminal Minds”), and Josie Ho (Contagion, Open Grave). Janell Shirtcliff (Dirty Old Town) is directing the film, with a script written by Shirtcliff and Suki Kaiser (“Masters of Horror”, “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce”), based on a story by Libby Mintz (Sydney White, Fired Up!), Shirtcliff and Kaiser.
Donovan Leitch (“Breaking Band”, Girl with a Guitar) is producing along with Josie Ho, Michael Suppes (Dreamland), Chris Pak Yu Mung, Chan Pang Chun, Damon Lawner (Copycat) and Libby Mintz.
Cassian Elwes (Mudbound, Elvis & Nixon), David Unger (Wetlands, Rajah), Will French (Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, The Power of Few), Adam Edelman (Lansky), Suki Kaiser, Conroy Chan (The Courier, Revenge: A Love Story), Paul Miloknay (Shadowland, Hired Gun), Bella Thorne and Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, I Feel Pretty) are listed as Executive Producers on HABIT.
