Blumhouse Television announced that award-winning journalist Gretchen Carlson is partnering with the indie studio to develop an interview series which Blumhouse will produce.

Known for award-winning, thought-provoking fare including “The Normal Heart”, “The Jinx”, and “Sharp Objects”, Blumhouse Television is the studio behind the Showtime limited series about the former Fox News chief Roger Ailes, “The Loudest Voice”. The series which is nominated for Golden Globe®, Critics Choice® and Writers Guild® awards depicts Carlson’s time at the network with Ailes as well as her departure and the filing of her unprecedented lawsuit against Ailes.

One of America’s most successful news anchors, Carlson’s courageous decision to speak out against Ailes gave voice to the silent and silenced, and her historic 2016 sexual harassment suit against her former boss was instrumental to ushering in the #MeToo movement.

The forthcoming series will see the return of Carlson to the interviewer’s chair, and feature special guests to discuss topical, provocative subject matter, including #MeToo and the movement’s evolution.

Named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2017, Carlson is a New York Times best-selling author of “Be Fierce” and a globally recognized empowerment advocate. In December 2019, Carlson founded the organization “Lift Our Voices” with former Fox News colleagues Julie Roginsky and Diana Falzone. Its mission is to end the practice of Non-Disclosure Agreements, confidentiality provisions and forced arbitration clauses that have prevented employees from publicly discussing and disclosing toxic workplace conditions, including sexual harassment and assault.

Carlson made her return to television in 2019 with a three-part documentary deal with A+E Originals. Carlson Executive Produced and hosted the three documentary specials, one of which examined the untold stories of sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace across the nation.

Carlson is represented by ICM and managed by Ashley Bekton and Untitled Entertainment.
