Netflix has revealed the first movie poster and the first trailer for their upcoming adaptation of IN THE TALL GRASS, which is based on a novella by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
After hearing a young boy’s cry for help, a sister and brother venture into a vast field of tall grass in Kansas but soon discover there may be no way out…and that something evil lurks within.
When siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found. Based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill.
IN THE TALL GRASS stars Harrison Gilbertson (Upgrade, “Picnic at Hanging Rock”), Laysla De Oliveira (Acquainted, “Covert Affairs”) Avery Whitted (The Vanishing of Sidney Hall), Will Buie Jr. (“Bunk’d”), Rachel Wilson (Kept Woman, “Total Drama”), and Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring franchise, Insidious).
The film is written and directed by Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice). It is produced by Steven Hoban (Ginger Snaps, Haunter), Mark Smith (A Christmas Horror Story, Come True), Jimmy Miller (Step Brothers, The Other Guys), and M. Riley (Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story, Holmes & Watson).
IN THE TALL GRASS will blow its way onto Netflix on October 4, 2019.
