[News] BRIGHTBURN Red Band Clip is a Sight to Behold

I’ll be the first to admit that Superman has never been my favorite superhero, quite frankly, he’s my least favorite superhero. However, I am willing to put aside my dislike in lieu of the new origin story in David Yarovesky’s upcoming horror film, BRIGHTBURN, which finds Superman becoming a villain instead of a hero.

Today, Sony Pictures released the first red-band clip from the film which takes place in a diner and man oh man, was it a doozy. We watch as a poor waitress comes face to face with the horrific power building within the young Superman. Though most gore doesn’t faze me, there is a moment in this clip that made me cringe and look away. I won’t ruin it for you, instead, I suggest you check out the clip below.

BRIGHTBURN is directed by David Yarovesky and produced by James Gunn. It stars Elizabeth Banks, Jackson A. Dunn, David Denman and Jennifer Holland.

BRIGHTBURN asks the question (in the official synopsis): what if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? Luckily, we don’t have that much time to wait as the film opens in theaters May 24th.
