When the weather outside is frightful, stay in and enjoy the season’s most gleeful genre mashup ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE on Digital and On Demand in Standard and High Definition from Orion Pictures on February 12.
Hailed by critics as “the year’s most toe-tapping horror film” (USA Today) and “delightfully crazy and highly entertaining” (Variety), ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE stars a breakout Ella Hunt (Robot Overlords, Cold Feet) alongside a buzzy up-and-coming cast including Malcolm Cumming, Sarah Swire, Christopher Leveaux, Ben Wiggins and Marli Siu.
When a zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven – at Christmas – Anna (Hunt) and her friends are forced to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, facing the undead in a desperate race to reach their loved ones. But they soon discover that no one is safe in this new world and, with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other…
Directed by John McPhail (Where Do We Go From Here) from a screenplay by Alan McDonald and the late Ryan McHenry (BAFTA award-winning “Zombie Musical,”), Naysun Alae-Carew and Nicholas Crum of Blazing Griffin and Tracy Jarvis of Parkhouse Pictures produced the film. With original music from Scottish writing duo Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly, Anna and the Apocalypse is, “a cult classic in the making” (Bustle).
