Movie Review: HALLOWEEN PUSSY TRAP KILL! KILL!

HALLOWEEN PUSSY TRAP KILL! KILL! is the latest offering from Cleopatra Entertainment about a girl band who is taken captive by a madman and must fight to survive his twisted games. Sound familiar? This corny rip-off of the Saw franchise opens with a war scene that takes place on Halloween of ’96…in Pakistan. A group of three US soldiers is taken captive by Jihadist soldiers who kill and torture the three in various ways, leaving only one alive after cutting his face off.

Fast forward to present day where girl band Kill Pussy Kill is playing a Halloween gig. When their show is over the bassist Misty and DJ Speed (the only male in the band) go to their van to smoke meth, where Speed tries to rape Misty. He’s interrupted by a bandaged stranger in a wheelchair, voiced by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, who demands he leaves the girl alone. Horny and hopped up on meth, Speed beats the stranger out of his wheelchair, prompting the rest of the band to pack up shop and move on to the next gig without their DJ.

The girls and their band manager Roger stop for gas at a seemingly abandoned gas station where Misty goes missing and they stumble upon Richard Grieco as the simpleton gas attendant Dale. Although hesitant at first, the group decides to leave Misty behind and come back for her later. This gig will surely be their big break, who needs Misty? Naturally their van won’t start and Dale offers them a ride up the road to his uncle’s house where they can borrow a van he has sitting around the property. Once they arrive at a small shack-like structure Dale shows them his Halloween mask, a gas mask, and flips a switch in his truck rigged to emit a green gas that renders the group unconscious. Dale drags their bodies down to a basement where the group will wake up, and the fun begins.

We learn that the bandaged stranger is the faceless US soldier from Pakistan, nicknamed The Mastermind. He reveals his intentions and motives, explaining that these ingrates do not understand or appreciate the sacrifices that good men and women on the front lines endure for them to be free. Now the group must earn their freedom by working as a group or individually to survive three rooms filled with tools designed to disorient or cause them pain. The catch? One person must die in each room in order to advance to the next room.

A bevy of special effects and terrible acting ensue as we watch the group turn on each other and progress through the rooms. The writing is comical and the story is something we’ve all seen before, but overall this ridiculous film is actually pretty fun. I’m pretty sure everyone is in on the joke and that this film is in no way meant to be taken seriously. The Mastermind’s sidekicks are worth mentioning as they’re an odd but fun addition to this whacky little film. If B-movies are your thing, I say give it a shot. Grab a couple of friends, some pizza, and a whole lotta drinks and sit down to HALLOWEEN PUSSY TRAP KILL! KILL!.
